Hiyuyá is the debut full-length album by Ambalema, created and recorded in the mountains of Medellín, Colombia alongside musicians and instruments deeply rooted in the traditions of the region. The album blends acoustic guitar, charango, flutes, strings, voice, and organic percussion into an immersive listening experience. Each song tells its own story through allegories of birds inspired by the ancestral cultures of North and South America. Together the songs form a continuous sonic and visual journey intended to be experienced from beginning to end, a symbolic voyage from north to south.
